I met Daniel during the “Endless Sunrise” Photographic competition that Common Ground sponsored last year – Dan won the Peoples Choice with his photo “The Curious Crab”.
He is 26 years old passionate about photography, Surfing, Development of consciousness, Yoga and meditations, arts and drawing, Expression, Travelling, golf and life in general……he oozes passion for life from every cell of his being. Daniel and I became friends after I found out he was responsible for a photo submitted to The Endless Sunrise competition that involved a chook, I know it has a name and is apparently very friendly but as a severe Alektorophobic – I freaked out, even though it was a brilliant and very creative photo as you can see below. Dan always meets me with a cheeky grin and a giggle about my chicken fear, he is an absolute delight to be around, an awesomely talented photographer - his company always welcomed.
On Monday 2nd of July, Dan stepped through a clear sheet on a roof and fell 5-6 meters. He was airlifted to Gold Coast hospital to the intensive care unit. He was put into an induced coma for 10 days. Gradually the doctors have brought him out of the coma slowly after a number of days. After 12 days in ICU ward he was moved into the neuro ward where he can continue his recovery. Read more on our website
